Svelte is a Wellington, New Zealand 3-piece rock band that formed in 1994.
High school friends and Svelte founders Andrew Bain (Bass / Voice) and Steve Wells (Guitars / Voice) played with various drummers including Richard Knott (Drums / Voice on the Cape Honey EP), Brendan Davies-Patrick (Drums on the Cape Honey bonus track "Wash") and Hamish Graham.

Andrew and Steve went on to co-form New Zealand band Fur Patrol in 1996.
